I was doing some research for my web blog and came across this little link.  It's a real hoot to read today.  It goes on (in the nostalgic sense now) and on about how Washington would suck as a baseball town.  Take a read...and remember how lucky we are to have a team, let alone in first place:

Speaking of my web blog...I just finished adding the GEORGE CASE biographical.  The names researched so far on the banner at RFK are:

    GIL HODGES
    JOE CRONIN
    FRANK HOWARD
    CLARK GRIFFITH
    GOOSE GOSLIN
    GEORGE CASE


That's 6 down 14 left to go.  :)
