I am trying to find the modern-day record for the most a team has struck out in a 3-game series but I think it's an obscure statistic.  I am thinking the Nats will beat it easily.  I'm guessing at least 40 strikeouts in this series.  What do you guys think?

Incidentally, Levale Speigner has yet to pitch in 2011 after posting a 4.98 ERA in relief for AAA Tacoma last year.

The guy Jim Bowden gave up for him (to demote a Rule 5 guy), by the way, was a toolsy outfielder named Darnell McDonald.

Don't fear, he'll be our #4 starter next season     :hammer:

Bixler starting at 1B is the reason the Nats are a never ending joke.

Rizzo is in over his head.

Most real major league teams start the year with three quality first basemen on the roster.

Are you really advocating Bixler a AAA scrub starting at 1B in the Majors?!

That's worse than when we used to stick Belliard and AlGo there. No other MLB teams do this.

And Gomes batting cleanup?! :lmao:

The last 4 losses for the Phillies the opposing winning pitchers were; Harang SD (11-3), Cain SF (9-8), Lincecum SF (10-9) and Lincecum SF (10-9) again.

How do I spin this...they are all righthanders and so is Livan so the Nats win!!!!!
Nationals on Fridays are 12-5 and 7-2 on road games this year.
Brian Bixler is undefeated as a starting firstbaseman in road games, in Philadelphia vs Cole Hamels on Fridays in the month of August.

The Turtle and I could play first. I'll hold the beer while he catches the ball.

Nix is in anyway so no need to wonder the meaning of Bixler at first.

Personally, I'd dump a reliever and call up Marrero or play Nix there if he's not hurt.
