Russell Wilson is overrated, put RG3 on that team and they'd be in the same position.

Since this thread has become somewhat of a referendum on Griffin, here is the truth.

Now, fans of the football team ...

But here is the truth anyway...

Griffin is a skinny-legged QB with two ACL surgeries who played in a college program that is designed to run up big numbers against the likes of Sam Houston State, Rice, TCU, SMU and Texas.

Will he be a great quarterback someday?   I don't know.   But I think the odds are 'no.'

Again, fans of the team don't want to hear this.   But it is the truth.

Nothing that Griffin has done or shown so far leads me to think he will ever be a great quarterback.

Because it's true, I assume.

More truth: Baylor had just as much success (if not more) after Griffin left.

Sorry if the truth hurts.   It's time to put your big pants on.

No, because you included Texas with those other "lesser" schools. I got a chuckle out of it, that's all.

so he's akili smith?

If his career ended now, Griffin would already have had damn near twice the career of Akili Smith.

Texas is not Texas anymore, in case you haven't noticed.

Their coach was just run out of town.

Does anyone even want that job?

CFB has jumped the shark. Tenured corches get fired after a couple down years. Teams jump to other conferences for a quick paycheck. Awful.

What does this have to do with Wilson being overrated? Replace Wilson or Kaepernick with RG3 and neither of those teams would change that much. They're all essentially the same player, Griffin was better than both his rookie year and put up better similar numbers in less games this year. No one said anything about him being great. I said if you put him on the Seahawks (a team far superior to the Redskins) than they wouldn't have missed a beat.

I agree with most*  of that, but suppose you had to pick one of the three to bet on to become a great quarterback.   I would pick Wilson to have the best chance, with Griffin and Kaepernick about even.

* I don't agree they are all the same player, I think there are three distinct styles and strengths, but the point is, they are, for now, interchangeable.

If I had to pick one to be great it'd be Wilson only because he's less prone to injury than RG3. However, none of those three will be great QB's in my opinion. They'll be good, not great.

:hysterical:  Wilson is leagues ahead of Griffin in playing the QB position.

RGIII is the third best QB in the first round of 2012 and that doesn't count Wilson or Foles.

No way. RGIII is ahead of Tannehill and Weeden.
