Being a National league club I assume we'd get the National league version (that's the one  we'd want).

He was pretty terrible for the fish last year for the first half of the year. So there's always a risk that either he falls off completely for the full year.

1st half - 96.1 IP, 5.23 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
2nd half - 96.1 IP, 2.15 ERA, 0.86 WHIP

Also, I'm not suggesting Vasquez is on the juice... but this doesn't add up.

Fastball velocity in 2010 - 88.7

March/April 2011 - 88.4
May 2011 - 88.8
June 2011 - 90.5
July 2011 - 90.9
August 2011 - 91.5
September/October 2011 - 91.2

35 year olds don't put on 3 MPH in velocity mid-season without something going on.

I heard an off-handed comment from Kevin Kennedy on XM's MLB Network Radio that Vazquez retired.

think going from facing Strasburg to facing Livo and then to HROD and storen.  That would take a lot of adjustments and would be utterly nasty.

Wait, if Strasburg is pitching, why are we using three other relievers?
