2 groundouts and a strikeout.  Bergmann was only at 79 pitches and there were 2 out.  They should have let him hit, especially since Logan is hitting .143.  This, on sportsfan882's ********** B-D?

here we go, big inning

What qualifies as a "big inning" for the nats? I thinking 4 runs.  Anything other then that would be considered a miracle.

Who ever would of thought, we would have to rely on Lopez for run production.

Ugg Batista is playing.. Didnt the Expos get enough of him a few years ago.

Tony Gwynn Jr.  Refresh my memory, his pop went into the Hall with Ripken Jr. this year didn't he?

2 runs is a big inning for us.  3 is considered a "laugher" now.

Question: What happens if Jon Rauch excels in the closer's role, saving three straight games in three chances?

That would require us to be in a saving position three straight games!

I was stunned with the subs in that inning.

Someone pointed out here the other day that Bowie is not very effective against lefties, if so, why is he still being used for lefty v. lefty matchups?

Zimmerman strikes out.  3-up-3-down... on sportsfan's ******* b-day!
One home run and 8 RBIs for the season are horrid stats for a MLB 3rd baseman, Mr. Ryan #1.  We may have to demote him to Ryan #2.

It's a DAY GAME, and Church hits significantly better in the day.  I SMELL a homer brewing in our Church!

I used to love Shakey's pizza.

Anyway, for those who are not able to watch or keep up on gameday, Colome is in the game to relieve Bowie.

Manny's pulling out all the stops today.  A must win game, or at least being managed as such.

He has been so much more effective against righties, and while I understand trying to see what he can do, I don't like the situation or that he is taken out with a righty up.

Of course, I did not understand any of the subs in the 7th. Nook batting for Bergie with 2 outs, no on on? Ugh. Langerhans hits better against lefties than righties, yet he is pulled for Batista who is just now been called up? Ugh. Langerhans seemed an obvious choice to play 1B when they pulled Fick for Belliard. Oh well, the lab experiment continues.
