Was following this game on my phone and almost threw it at someone in the 9th inning!  Glad they won though!  Another series win and a possible sweep again!

A man (or woman) who I may share a soul with. I almost smashed by buddy's glass coffee table with my iPhone. I would not have even felt a little bit bad.

I hear about this Ladson character but have never seen him, heard him or read any of his stuff.   Does he exist?

He impersonates Boob Lubertino.

I went to my granddaughter's soccer game today at 1:50 p.m.  I taped the ballgame.  When I got home, I watched the whole thing.  When we were leading 2 to 0 in the top of the 9th, I felt we had it in the bag.  When Lidge gave up that two-run homer, I was sick!  But when Desmond drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning, I was ecstatic!  Again, we got the great pitching, not many runs, and in this case, some luck, as the Marlins made some boneheaded  :woop: plays, and we found a way to win.  This is some great beginning to the 2012 season!  I hope we're not rained out tomorrow - I want to keep going/winning.

[...]Or, when was the last time they had a winning percentage of .750 with a minimum of 15 games (or ever LOL)?    Just curious?

Of the post-relocation Nats teams, only the 2008 and 2012 editions - the only ones ever to win their season openers - have played .750 or better ball from the start of  the season. The 2008 edition won its first three and a loss to the Phillies on 3rd April put them at exactly .750 - but that loss was the start of a 9-match losing streak and put paid to any further hopes of that sort of percentage.

I have him too.   However, I just realized Friend has a Nats' winning streak going on.   Can't take him out 'til he loses one.   I ain't superstitious or anything.    Caps haven't lost either since Friend was posted.   So  ...   We're standing pat.   :)

You're not alone.   I got home from riding and messed around.   I was surfing and found the game in the bottom of the 9th.   It ended up OK though.

Quite easily obtained from the ESPN.com schedules (same source I use for the when-the-Nth-win-was-notched posts, thanks to their cumulative win-loss numbers by each result).

Cumulative dates on which the Nationals registered their 4th loss, each season:

2007 - 6th April (5th match of season)
2011 - 6th April (5th match)
2008 - 6th April (7th match)
2006 - 9th April (6th match)
2009 - 10th April (4th match)
2005 - 11th April (7th match)
2010 - 12th April (7th match)
2012 - 19th April (14th match)

Thanks for that Chelsea.   When I asked the question, this is kind of the results I expected.    The 2012 stat looks real good in the grouping.

And here I thought you had all this stuff in your mind.   :)
