Dang it. My front shifter broke on the way home today. The tension spring inside the shifter gave out (about 5 miles into the 15 mile trip) and I had to spend the rest of the trip holding the shifter in place - keeping the derailleur from going where ever it felt like. Which was somewhere between the small and medium sprocket on the front....
