Well that's a new service.  They used to have a nice selection of Rhone reds.

I think they still do, I more of a Rose/White wine person in the summer

He turned me on to some good light summer whites too.  Picpoul de pinet (sp?) for one.

I've had some bad experiences with MD 20/20. Never again will I drink "Grape" or "Black Licorice"...

Wild Irish Rose is the bum wine of choice down in Wilmington, NC. All the homeless, drifters, drug dealers, and alcoholics love it. I have a bottle of this stuff and it gets me proper pickled, but it leaves me with a bad headache every time out.

I like Stella especially because one of the bars around me has it for 4$. However, I mysteriously puked 3 times last year and they were all multiple Stella nights.  Granted I was drunk, but not puke drunk.  So like one or two is OK (for me), but not a whole night's worth

Stella sold in the U.S. is brewed in the U.K. (Wales).  Matter of fact, they are serving it on tap at the Wales exhibition at this year's Smithsonian Folk Life Festival.

Thanks a lot salty, now I'm gonna have to go buy some tonight ;)

I pretty much drink Stella Artois or Sam Adams Boston Lager because they are the only 2 decent beers that Sheetz sells and the only place still selling when I get off of work.  Since they jacked the price of the Sam Adams up to over $8, I've been sticking to the Stella.

Amy Winehouse drinks Stella, maybe there is a connection.

So last night to drown my sorrows of a horrible trade deadline and embarrassing loss to the Pirates, I checked out this new pub in Wilmington called "The Duck and Dive" which had an English flair to it, futbol on TV, and a nice selection of beers. I sat down and had something called an Orange Blossom Pilsner 2.

Delightful flavor. Made with Orange Blossom Honey and you could really taste it. In fact, it was probably the best beer of that kind I had ever tasted. While I love dark stouts, Guinness, Murphy's, etc., I have no problem experimenting with beers that use honeys and even maple syrups in the brew.

I finished it off quite quick and decided to have another. But before the bartenderess (who was a lovely young woman with a fantastic ass) handed me a second, I started to notice that I already was way loopier than I usually am after having only one beer. I took a look at the label: 11% alcohol by volume.

God damn!
