Are you sure about this?  I just did a search on it and couldn't find it.

I found it.  It just popped up on sportsline.com

Wow, the Phils announcer just called Zimmerman "a pretty slow runner".

Somebody claims that a Fox Sports blog is saying Young will get $6 million per year for two years.  He was paid $8 million per year by Detroit for 2005 and 2006.

Man, I hope someone made this all up. Means we are paying TWO vets the amount of money we wanted to give the players that would "take this team into the future". Sheesh. Two vets, by the way, that cover positions we are already are paying 2 OTHER players big money to play.

Here is where I slightly disagree ... the money we are paying these guys is veteran money (although I think belliard could've gotten more from the FO). I don't think 6 mil a year over two years is going to get us "someone who will lead us into the future" ... I believe that kind of player is going to cost us much more than that

Guys, Gameday has game highlights already, you can see the Lannan ejection among other plays.  Link at center bottom.

The problem is, that's STARTER money on this team. Why have 4 guys for 2 positions all w/ starter money?

Payroll is suppose to increase next year - it's not likely they'll run out of money

It probably affords either party the option of voiding the final year, which I like.
