Yeah. One of the sportscenter guys they randomly bring on for a random segment mentioned how The Carolina Hurricanes do White outs, how the Caps do Rock the Red, then he joked how the Blue Jays do Bang the Blue or some crap like that. He was referring to how all the seats are blue and thats all you can see but said they were people and not seats. Kind of silly but atleast they had lower attendance then us.

Not funny not even remotely funny.

What they said is the truth. No one is coming out to the ballpark in washington until the team is consistently winning or has a superstar player.
It doesn't help the team that the best team in the NHL (which is also the local team) was playing a crucial playoff game at the same time.  A lot of people probably stayed home to watch the Caps.

What was the attendance?

11,623 announced...looked about that.

While a reliever named Capps was notching the save, the Caps' win over the Canadiens became official, to put our local NHL side up 2-1 - within minutes of each other...just a great night of sports all round.

Hoping for more of this Wednesday night when Canadiens-Caps Game 4 coincides with another Nats-Rockies night at the ballpark...LET'S GO CAP(P)S!

When Capps came on against the Brewers last week people looked at me funny for cheering "Let's go Capps!" I had to point out to them that I was referring to the player, not the team (at the time).

Let's go Cap(p)s!!

Think about it CMD....bang has a number of different meanings, not all sexual. So does Blue

Who cares what they say, just keep on winning and the attendance will increase.

Yikes.

It seemed thin but it's hard to tell. Fun game though. Lots of room to spread out.  :D

That should be close to the season low.

I just thought it was funny that he was referring to the empty seats. What your saying is over my head.

That should be close to the season low.

All-time Nationals Park low - previous low was 12,464 exactly a year ago today, Monday 20th April 2009 vs Braves (a 3-2 Nats win).
