testing...1...2...3

Edit: Thanks, guys, that worked! The problem was that I interpreted the earlier "no bold brackets" as "omit the brackets" rather than "do not boldface the brackets."

Put the address of the image in between the img brackets.

Do you use Firefox or IE? If you're using Firefox, just right-click the image and choose "Copy Image Location." Then just follow those instructions above. If you're using IE, the only way that I know how to do it is by right-clicking the image, choosing "Properties," then copying the "Address (URL)."

Sounds like a lot, but it's a pretty quick process. Practice to see if you get it right by previewing before you post.

Another test, this time with n2p's instructions.

Edit: That works as well - thanks much, fellas!

Can you get the forum to just insert a :'( smiley each time someone types the word outfield :'( until they work their way up to the second worst outfield in baseball? It would save a lot of typing. :'(

GREAT EMOTICONS.

I like the guy who peeks from under the paper bag, "have we scored yet?  NO?  Oh well!"  Bag goes back over head.

Also the comment about the squirrel fetish - priceless!

Yes, this thread should be stickied!

How do we use the new ones that Aniie is making? And can we please make a rule against moving avy's?

You'd have to copy them from here if you wanted to use them.

Rest assured I am not ignoring your requests.  I've simply decided not to bother adding anything until my cast comes off next week.  The process for adding smilies to the forum is simply too tedious to do with my non-dominant hand.

Having owned and administered boards in the past, I know what it's like to add smilies. Some board systems are more of a pain than others where adding smilies is concerned, even with two good hands. So I understand why you're waiting to add the new smilies.

How do we use the new ones that Aniie is making?
I don't plan to delete any of those smilies from my Photobucket account anytime soon, so until some are added to this board, feel free to copy mine from this topic.

Here were are, the center of the Nats Blogosphere, the busiest intersection of Nats discourse on the planet, and progress is halted until Chief gets his cast off.    :?

Guess this is a reminder of how tenuous our grip on things really is, huh?

I was trying to think of some way to respond to that with an AZ-style line with myself taking the place of injured Zimmerman, but I couldn't come up with anything that did it justice.
