I don't think Jayson is going to be on the Nats next year.

Just got a feeling.

Frank Zombo for the Packers looks to be twins with Zimmerman.

this is painful, but i still hold out hope that manuel sends doc out for the 9th and he blows out his knee slipping on the mound.

At least Ray Knight called out Morgan about it.

Phillies fans chanting Nyjer Morgan may be the low point in Nats Park history.

And no one in this organization will say that this is an embarrassment, an UNACCEPTABLE embarrassment because I don't think they are embarrassed.

Everyone in this front office will go to sleep tonight, completely unashamed of the spectacle we just witnessed.

Ben said the Phillies fans were chanting "This is our house"

Ugh.  I hate that.

Watching the Phillies in the clubhouse is precisely the reason why the FO should have forbidden it!  It might be unprecedented to prevent another team from celebrating in your stadium but there's a first time for everything!  >:(

I was there and can confirm this happened.  As did the "a-hole" chant after Halladay got a little chin music.  A very, very low point.  I saw most of the regular STH tonight but it was pretty much Citizens Bank Park South tonight.  Embarrassing is not the word for what happened tonight.

Since no Nats fans even bothered to show up tonight, people will continue to nag about opening day. However, take it from someone who was there, who was at opening day, and who has been to 70-75 games each year since 2005. This was by so freaking far the worst freaking freaking freaking game you've ever imagined. The Philthy vomiting tasered retards chanting jerk to Bisenius in our freaking part was the best part. No, maybe the fact the vomits on little girls, probably 3,500 of them, had to be escorted out because they wouldn't leave. Or maybe the fact ten Nats fans bothered to show up to a game that the best NL pitcher was pitching, the final series of the year, show some support, whatever. This was such an embarrassment words can't even describe it. And that has nothing to do with the performance. The turnout, even among regular ST holders, was so pathetic I'm disgusted.

I don't know, as a STH I can't really blame anyone for staying home tonight.  I've been to 40 games this year (didn't attend many in April and May) and this was by far the WORST game of the season.  Truly pathetic.

Like I said in another thread, I can blame them for one reason: Opening day. Forget how bad the team is. Everyone was so pissed off over how the stadium got taken over, and any idiot could guess there'd be quite a few, but not nearly as many, Phillies fans, there tonight. To just stay home due to the rain and let them totally take over the stadium is pathetic. Ian Desmond's comments show the team is clearly finding tonights game in regards to the takeover as infuriating as I am. For everyone to talk about how bad opening day was and then stay home tonight, I just am flabbergasted at that.

Because they're still making money hand over fist and THAT is the one thing that motivates the Lerners, not winning.

You can certainly blame the teams play for not having a rabid fan base. But it's the fans that do still show up every game, maybe 4,000 to 5,000, that's what I'm upset about after opening day. This photo Cheryl Nichols took sums up tonight: http://plixi.com/p/47554894

That's simply inexcusable after all the whining "fans" did in regards to opening day. That photo is so freaking infuriating. Hell, I didn't even mind opening day that much. Look back and you'll see I didn't get what everyone was so upset about. You had half Nats fans and half Philly fans. We drowned them out when they started their cheers. The team had been so bad of course Philly fans were going to be at that game in a decent quantity, but there were also a fair number if Nats fans. When they chant "this is our house" and "jerk" to one of our pitchers, and there's not even the slightest inkling of boos or attempts to drown it out, AFTER opening day, at least for tonight as hot as I am I feel that's a fan base that doesn't deserve a team even as bad as the Nats are.

The cheering was really out of line tonight.  Isn't that picture of the visitor's dugout?  The whole third base side was filled with Phillies fan.  There wasn't anyone on the home team dugout tonight (except for you and handful of other people).  Just a piss poor display across the board - the Nats fans, the Nats themselves, and the Phillies fan.  Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow night...
