Was this game as frustrating to watch as it was to listen to?

Only because it was the difference between a no decision and Strasburg's first loss.  Any other game and you know no one would have even noticed.

sadly, this is true.

we went from having 3 good middle INFers to having 0 or 1, depending on your opinion on the situation

Our soccer team outscored the nats. I've attended 18 innings in five days with no runs scored for the home team. Sigh.

Stop attending games.

I feel like that kid who saw 19 losses last year.

can I just say, for the record, that section 308 (along with the other low 300's) are absolutely fantastic seats if you can sit row F or closer.  Way way better than the 110/111 sections for $14 less per ticket.

yes, especially since Bannister had trouble even "reaching" home plate with several of his pitches.

Just got back from the game.

-I could see from Section 220 that Bernadina beat that throw. Horrible call on a critical play. We went bonkers when the TVs behind us showed replays.
-A family (I assume) of four were all keeping score in legit scorebooks in our section. It was kinda rad.
-What a zoo. The metro wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be getting back. No idea why green line cars were only showing up every ten minutes at L'efant before the game though. I tried to cab back and that cab stand is utter fail.
-I wonder how accurate the radar at the game is. Some of those fastballs made my eyes pop out of my head.
-I saw Rizzo before the game (standing outside the tv hut thing) and Nats320 after the game, walking around.  :o
-Freaking bummer of a loss. At least I get to say I was at Strasburg's first loss and saw his first hit. ?

Okay, my thoughts.

-Bannister had good command of all his pitches and was mixing up the pattern fairly well.  Not sure why he pitches so much better during the day.
-Nyjer has got to hit the bench right now.  Nothing at the plate and he loafed on 2-3 fly balls today that someone with his speed should get to pretty easily.
-Roger is a plus on both sides of the ball.
-I can't repeat some of the things said to Wendelstadt from the sections behind home plate when that call was missed.  I do know that a retarded, blind, ASSCLOWN could have gotten that one right.
-I'll wait to see the replay and determine if the strike call on Hammer was legit or not.
-The food in the President's Club is so good you can't help but sneak back in for more if you get the chance.
-Willie Harris shouldn't be allowed to own a bat.
-KC has a bunch of pesky slap hitters who make a lot of contact.  Stras puts up 12-14 Ks against most teams with what he threw today.
-Great group of people down in the expensive seats.  Would have lost track of the game if I hadn't been scoring it.

Oh hey, uh why did Willingham turn around on that ground ball? Wasn't he two thirds of the way home?

Royal looked him back.  Still should have just gone for it as the pick up of the ball wasn't clean at all.

Cool, thanks. I thought he was already way down the line, but trying to keep my eye on the ball, the first baseman and Willingham was difficult.

BTW, the look on Bannister's face when he hit the ground on that bunt attempt was priceless.  He looked like he was trying to remember the name of every deity that has ever existed so he could thank each one personally that he was still alive.  Then, after the successful bunt, Strasburg said something to him as he trotted back to the dugout.

I was sitting about ten feet from Riggleman, and I'd just like to back him up on not arguing. From the Nats dugout, it clearly looked like Bernadina missed home plate. The replays, and every other vantage point in the ballpark, clearly show that was not true. But from field level where the Nats dugout is, Bernadina clearly looked out. Can't fault Jim for not arguing that one as I saw what he saw, as did everyone sitting nearby.

i watched the replay, he was safe.  When I saw it live it looked like he came in after the tag (from 308 above the Royals dugout).

btw, big shout out to our penn who went scoreless for 3 innings.  It must at least make Riggleman feel pretty good that he didn't have to go to storen/clipp/capps tonight.

Time for managers to have a limited number of replay challenges - the play at the plate if correctly called - may have changed the outcome of the game.  At the very least, Strasburg wouldn't have lost today.

Another nice start from Strasburg but our offense was awful. Really disappointing that Brian Bannister hands SS his first loss.

Hunter Wendelstedt horrible on the level of C.B.Buckner, Joe West and Angel Hernandez.
