i think it happened recently. leaving cleveland is fine. having this long drawn out process capped with a primetime announcement just pours salt in cleveland's wounds. kind of a dick move, although i'm sure ESPN paid him a crap load for it as opposed to him doing it for ego purposes

He stomped on the heart of every clevland fan on National TV, literally rubbed his leaving in their faces for the entire world to see.

and it was totally unnecessary. he could have just released a statement, signed his contract with Miami and moved on with life.

and crap like this reminds me of why i stopped watching the NBA. i was planning on picking the NBA back up again, but I may just got with Soccer instead for a third sport.

Watching the news, they apparently had a ceremony in Miami for the big three, keys to the city, keys to the county. Only the three though, no one else on the team was there. I'm sure that will be a great locker room this year.

Currently there is only 1 other player on the roster. No point in Mario Chalmers being there.

It's funny how this guy has managed to turn himself from America's darling (judging from the dewy-eyed 60 Minutes hagiographical Lebron James infomercial of a year or so ago) to public enemy #1. I doubt many people would give a crap if he died in some horrible walrus accident tomorrow...he seems to be about as loved as Rod Blagojevich, Courtney Love, Michael Vick, or Ashlee Simpson.
