OK, folks.  you have a lead, but it is early.  do you send in Morse to hit for willie, with bernie available as a late defensive sub, or do you save you subs for hitting for the pitcher?
No, stick with the lineup for a while.

I've never heard of that rule.

This part of the rulebook seems to cover what happened on Morgan's steal.

5.09 The ball becomes dead and runners advance one base, or return to their bases, without liability to be put out, when—

(e) A foul ball is not caught;

I don't know how you guys feel about Oswalt being thrown out but I didn't like it. I know it benefits the Nats but that's not the point. People have complained about the Nats being shafted by umpires in the past because they have been bad and it may be happening to the Astros right now. I think the umpire could've given him a little more rope to hang himself before ejecting him.

Carpy and Bob are right. why were willie and Ian hacking at this hack?  These guys don't respect plate discipline.

Guys. don't get too excited. This may be the Astros, but it's still our pitching. This could still end up being a close game.
Yup.

The ump came out from behind the plate and went towards Oswalt before he left the mound in reaction to it.  Just ridiculous and more proof that umps are incompetent and proud of it.

Ok, anyone else for an EPIC PATTERSON of Atilano? I'm talking after this inning. Just send him to the clubhouse.

No, the ump was reacting to Oswalt's little tantrum after the 2-2 pitch.  The zone's been all over the place though.

A pop up goes out and you guys freak out.  Immediate recovery by Atilano to put that behind him.

Pretty sure Oswalt didn't start going towards the plate until the ump came out at him.  Also pretty sure Oswalt told him to get back behind the plate.

Maldonado didn't swing at the first pitch. He's already smarter than a third of our lineup.

We're going to need some offense from the bottom of the batting order.
