With imeem dead, I'm worried lala will go too. Napster just reworked their entire interface - it's beautiful and runs much better, and it's still beta. Pretty sure I'm going to renew with them just to be safe.
I wonder if it will work on my work computer now.  I'll have to go check.

Anyone ever take the free limewire trial and get the 50 free mp3s? Is it legit? Seems weird to give a CC # to a file sharing company, but then again, Napster is Best Buy now.

www.store.limewire.com

Found it because I want the Nacho Libre theme song, "Hombre Religioso" by Mr Loco, but I don't want the rest of the album. I can only find it album only on iTunes and amazon for 10 bucks. I tried every other mp3 store :bang:

I took the trial, used my Amex in case fishy charges appear, and canceled already. Their plan of 20 dollars a month for 75 songs is a great deal actually . . .

For some reason the FIOS signup page was not working well at all in Firefox, so I used Chrome.

Doesn't seem that different. One thing is that Firefox would often quit on me when I had multiple tabs open which were doing a lot (like checking games on nfl.com). We'll see how that goes with Chrome.
Crashing on nfl.com is probably due to flash.  As bad of a resource hog flash is on Windows, it is exponentially worse on OS X.  Absolute junk.  MS Silverlight on the Mac is so much better than Flash.  Chrome has the sandboxing that Chief mentioned, and the newest version of Safari also has something similar that will prevent the entire browser from crashing if a plugin gets out of hand, such as flash.  I don't think it is as robust as Chrome's separate process per tab method though.

One thing you might like with Chrome is that it uses Webkit as the rendering engine, so if you like the way Safari renders some sites, Chrome should render it the same since they are both based on Webkit whereas Firefox is based on Gecko.  I mainly use Firefox on my Mac since I've been using it since it was called Phoenix in my PC days, but there are a few sites that don't work quite right in Firefox that I will fire up Safari to browse.  Then there are those very few sites that must have IE and when changing the user agent in Firefox to IE still doesn't work, I use ies4osx to run IE7.

if you install silverlight, will flash-based videos play?  or is Silverlight a completely different format?

Tweet or Tweets is correct lingo though I've always thought it sounded pretentious.

Well I like the Firefox one better than the Chrome/Safari one, but I can adjust.

Yeah "tweet" is an individual post but the whole shebang goes by "twitter" at least that's what I thought.  EG "Hey, get on my twitter and check out my newest tweet"

The other day, instead of saying "where it's at," I said, "where it is located." And people understood what I meant. So yes, my generation is insane.

EDIT: Note I only use silly in its original meaning:

Stop that! It's silly!

I rarely use twitter even still.  Blocked access from work makes it much less valuable.  Unless I can find a site that lets me use twitter through it that is not blocked anyway.
