I never looked at Schneider the same after some people around here started saying he was openly racist.

SSB had some scoop on that.

I  don't remember hearing/reading that.

He has been known to throw around plenty of racial epithets in the clubhouse. The more stuff I have heard about him and his behavior over the years, the more I have grown to believe that he is a jerk. There have been a series of guys on this team over the years that seem to have a hard time dealing with criticism. They have no idea how it would be if they were under the scrutiny that other media markets provide. The Mets have been such a debacle that Schneider is the least of their worries. But who knows what kind of pounding he would get if they were in a playoff race. I prefer players like some that we have now who can deal with it when they have to face the music. Guys like Dunn are typically the first to admit when they sucked or failed and would likely not throw a hissy fit in the clubhouse just because they were being asked probing questions. If players are that thin skinned that they can't handle a little scrutiny on a team that sucks, how are they going to deal with the pressures of a pennant race? Schneider probably would love to come back to a cushy job where he can get paid alot to be a mediocre backup and not have any accountability.

SSB had some scoop on that.

I'd like a link, even from a trusted source, as that's pretty heavy.

I ain't "holier than thou" but I don't have time for that BS either.    Really disappointed to read that about Schneider.

Thom, that's not it, SSB has other posts on Schneider.  SSB used to have a real good inside source, very credible.

It's what makes Philly fans what they are. You can't blame a scorpion for stinging, and you can't blame a Philly fan for being an a' hole.

Cheering that he's hurt. freak you Philly.
