MANNY SHOULD BENCH FICK...

im sorry that was more stupid than church not running out

As dumb as Fick is sometimes, he is 10X better than Young at the plate and on defense.

I wouldn't say 10x better than Young at the plate.
Young's been decent, but not that good. Fick just hasn't done much. He's def. better defensively.

I also concur.  Joe West is a freaking idiot and now Estrada gets a hit.

We would need to check the Style section of the Washington P*** to verify that...

(Image removed from quote.)

no need to check. It is not even the worst this year. We're actually better than the Cards.

Nice inning. He has the bottom of the lineup coming up next inning so he's cruising nicely at this point.

Young was solid over the first couple of weeks but since then he has been absolutely horrible.  Fick already has a walk and single in this game in 2 plate appearances.  Fick started slow but I think he will come around.

"How soon can we see Hall of Famer "Don Sutton" come out of MASN booth fill in the # 4 spot on our roation?

Erica B. from Alexandria, VA"

so i doubt it will get on the air, but stranger things have happened?

Why didn't he bunt with two on and no outs?

There are a lot of guys who should come around. This team has a lot of guys below their norm, including Young. That is why we should feel relatively optimistic. Give the guys credit for staying competitive. They know they will finish last, but they keep battling.

That's funny Erica. The question doesn't seem serious enough for them to use it on air but as you said, stranger things have happened, plus maybe they are in need of on air questions so you may get some air time.

I hope they don't already just resign to stay in 5th place.  A nice goal would be to finish out of the cellar after season's end.  Man this is horrible..

Don't be surprised if it's aired.  I emailed questions to the radio team during rain delays, when they are desperately looking for things to talk about, and they've answered me on the air every time.
You should have signed it Erica's Nats.  The RADIO team always read my questions as "From nats2playoffs."

sigh, How did Lopez not make it to 1st on that play.. This is so utterly pathetic.  After the first batter of the game, Bush has pitched 5 consecutive shut-out innings (and counting).

We should all send questions with our forum handles to see who gets theirs read on air. Erica has an unfair advantage though.

Realistically, the cellar is what we should expect. But this team doesn't play that way despite their limitations. I don't care what Style-Boy says. This team has a big losing record, but they are not a bunch of losers. Just look at them tonight. It's another painful game with lost opportunities, but the team is tied in the 5th with the best team in the NL and they have had fire in their eyes all night. Let's hope that continues.

Remember what happened in San Diego? 4-0 after the first 5 batters only to stall thereafter.

Nice play by Zimmerman. We were due for a break after that call on Lopez.

Air Zimmerman will make an appearance shortly.
