Refresh my memory but did the upper deck siding hang 10 feet over the outfield?  I can understand it bouncing off the siding and coming back onto the field if it was behind the fence but if something is in the field of play to me that's fair until it goes into the stands.

Reminds me of the catwalks at Tropicana

And the stadium has only been around two months! Imagine how much controversy this stadium is going to cost. I hope it costs the Mets a lot.
Yeah they try to make the new parks "quirky" because that's how old parks like Fenway are.  But if you look at an overhead shot of Fenway and the surrounding area you can tell they had to squeeze the park into a little corner where some roads intersected so they had to make it like that.  With this stadium they are just doing it for the hell of it.

Your incredible pessimism reminded me of sportsfan882. Where's the confusion?
Ah...pessimism.  Yes I do have quite a bit (no idea why).  I thought you were trying to imply something about my views on JZ.

Ever since the fiasco with the Rays' stadium the MLB has had to specifically identify what parts of the stadium would be home runs and which would be ground rule doubles.  My guess is that the overhang has been specified as a home run.

Here's a preview of a guy that could be pitching for us soon enough.

Okay makes sense if they have specified it already.

 the pitchers haven't been great but I believe that the scouting and game plans are a joke.

How else can you explain the Fish owning us and us not being able to retire any of the league's premier hitters.

It still doesn't make sense why in god's name teams would make parks like this.

both the new NY parks are stupid. I'm not sure which one is worse. The Yankees' stadium which we will see in a few weeks gives up 5 HRs a night.

Pitcher         IP   PC   H   ER   BB   K
Zimmermann    5.0   100   8   5   2   8
Santana            6.0   120   3   3   6   11

Zimm-with-2-N's is a rookie.  I'd rather not have the 5 runs, but 8 Ks against 2 walks is nice.  (Maybe he should have had 3 walks.)  He's part of The Plan.

I picked up 20-year-old Rick Porcello of Detroit for a fantasy spot start.  He won and is now 6-3. 20 years old.

Our pitching isn't as great as you think it is, yet.
