Game on.

Nats go quietly in the first as all 3 pop up.  Zimm flew out to Milledge who still took a bad rout to the ball even though he wasn't in CF.
Really, I thought that was a pretty routine popup but Lasto catches it at full speed, he really has a knack for making spectacular plays out of routine balls

yep. losing an average first baseman and LH specialist will decimate us. :?

this.

my issue isn't with trading them, it is with what we got in return. we could have done better.

Looked about the same as all the other awkward routes he took in CF.

why did he go to third there? he knew he had no chance

at least they scored the run.

If we had traded legitimate players like Dunn or Willingham I would understand being pissed at the return but come on.

Nick Johnson and Joe Beimel. they aren't worth nearly as much as you think. You have to be happy just to get anything for them. Sitting still at the deadline and trading no one would have been worse.

I'd hope so. Don't know who else they would bring up.

He's batting clean-up and playing for the Chiefs right now.

Padilla - LF
Orr - 3B
Maxwell - CF
Dukes - RF
Morse - 1B
Casto - DH
Bynum - 2B
Desmond - SS
Solano - C

If it had been Dunn fielding that ball just now, SF would have had to bite his tongue.

Geeze, every fly to left I think is crushed. Gonzo's ball barely made it to half way to the outfield.

I don't know. He batted 2nd for a few games. His bat has been money (.340 BA/.456 OBP) but he is averaging 0.47 errors a game.
