I was just making a bad joke, I knew you meant the actual fellows.  But cool stuff that you were a religious history major, I just try not to fry people's skin off with RF....
I knew that, but I figured the stuff on the real Plinies (Plini?) was fun.

he hasn't pitched above low-A, and he's still going to be innings limited in 2015.  I just don't see it happening in 2015.

Crock of crap. He starts in High-A and hopefully moves up to AA this coming year. Then in 2016, he'll start in AA, get promoted to AAA, and make his majors debut in the late summer. Don't rush this kid when there is no goddamn reason to.

I agree no way he sees the majors for anything other than a 'here's what it's like to live like a big leaguer' cup of coffee when rosters expand in 2015. In 2016, I could see there being much more pressure, especially if Zimmermann and Fister are gone.

Giolito being nasty:  http://gfycat.com/SickSmugIndianelephant
It's weird that we describe pitch GIFs the same way we describe pictures videos.

That's a great picture, but it reminds me why I always hate pictures of pitchers throwing the ball: they are always making Pooping Is Hard! faces.

He has a big, wide base.

Who's the best player you've ever played with or against

Well even though I haven't played against him persay since we are both pitchers, but Lucas Giolito is a prospect in the Nationals organization who has the dirtiest stuff I've ever seen. No joke, righty sitting 95 with a hammer curveball and a changeup that is his worst pitch and its better than a lot of other pitchers' best pitch.

Not seeing any stat line for him so far this season, as if he isn't pitching yet.  Did I miss something?

I was about to ask the same question. Searched down from Harrisburg to Hagerstown, but no Giolito.

Is he in Viera because the Nats don;t want him pitching in cold weather? Or is something bothering him?

They don't want him pitching too many innings.  Will start late and maybe finish early.

Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez were held back in Viera because they are too valuable to risk injury in cold weather. Should be in Potomac very soon.

It's chilly tonight. They should wait a couple more weeks.
