i think Manny is trying to get fired with this lineup.

ESTRADA AND LO DUCA STARTING  :spaz: :hang:

at least two stud rookies are pitching, Lannan vs Jurrjens

You have to appreciate Johnny Holliday for attempting to muster some enthusiasm and optimism. He asked Knight if he also had the feeling that the Nats are about to go on a nice winning streak. Knight clearly didn't share the optimism but he he did his best to keep from doing this,

You've got to be kidding me.  Walnuts and Fat Johnny in the lineup again.  Manny is a damn fool.

Winning isn't #1 anymore this season, obviously. We have to play these guys.

Knight just said that he doubts our players have much trade value. If he's right, they are going to have to bite the bullet on Estrada. I think we're stuck with Lopez, especially if we end up dealing Guzman.  :?

It's starting to feel like winning isn't #1, #2, or anywhere on the top ten.

No we don't.  Neither one of those bums are going to get us anything in trades.  You have to reward your future players especially when they are playing well.

They don't have high trade value, but some teams could use a catcher or a second baseman/shortstop. The only problem is that Bowden usually asks for too much in return.

This is how it always goes for losing teams, though. Once the trade deadline has passed, the younger guys will get the majority of the starts, regardless.

btw, Willie Harris is slowly becoming one of my favorite players.

i know everybody uses the excuse that Manny has nothing to work with, but he could definitely assemble a better lineup.

here's mine:

Harris CF
Belliard 2B
Guzman SS
Young 1B
Flores C
Kearns RF
Langerhans LF
Orr 3B

my lineup > Manny's

LO DUCA AND ESTRADA SHOULD NOT SEE THE ****ING FIELD!

Houston is "desperately seeking relievers," so that could be an option. They also need another starter.

Casto's at third. Can't play two positions.

I'm really glad Kearns is hitting well since coming back to the lineup. Last night's game-ending lineout was unlucky and a couple feet to the right or left means extra bases and a tie ballgame.

AZ's fantasizing he's the GM.

I'm really glad Kearns is hitting well since coming back to the lineup.

Hopefully he goes on a tear this month and gets packaged in a trade. I'm growing weary of watching him play.

Orr. Anyone but LoDuca.

You guys must really want Lo Duca to stay here. I wouldn't consider Orr much of an upgrade anyways.

I'll take Orr all day everyday over Walnuts.  Much better defense, speed, and intangibles.
