There used to be a somewhat detailed thread about a Sons of Sam Horn member who had a twice in a lifetime experience with Mr. Jeter, which was so similar that he used the same lines to pick her up. I forget all the details (and am not a member of that board), but if someone is a member of that board and can post a link, it may help fulfill someone's dreams next year when the NYY visit.

LOL that would have been better, I think I remember that thread JCA and it had something to do with Jeter asking women what their "hopes and dreams" were or something equally lame.

I don't know if fully buy that story. Who freaking says that crap to a woman and it's the first thing that comes out of their mouth every time? Also, that the encounters were so generic is hard to believe. But if this did happen it says much more about the idiotic women that fall for that weak crap and especially for the woman who went in for seconds.

The story from a friend of a friend of an anonymous poster is shaky, but the details aren't really that salacious, if I was single and could pick up women by handing them the card for my driver I'd be perfectly happy to live that lifestyle for a few decades.

the story is funny enough and captures his character that it does not have to be true to be worth telling. It's like Jimmy Carter never using the word "malaise" in the "malaise" speech. It does not matter if it is true because the word captures the essence of what he was saying.
