Wow..this is pretty lousy. I know it's just opening day, but is anyone really that surprised? I think scoring runs will be a problem all season long.

LaRoche is a turd.

Werth almost belted that one out of there.

Typical Nats. Why beef up the rotation when we just leave 10 runners on per game.

LaRoche has been an absolutely disastrous signing so far.  Rizzo has been totally embarrassed by this and the Wang signing from day one.

Good thing we are expecting big things from LaRoche.

Yep, have to agree with you there.  I naged about his swing endlessly last year.  The nagging will continue until the swing improves.

Adam LaRoche can go freak himself. What a piece of crap. Can't even put the ball into play twice with RISP. He's not a freaking cleanup hitter! We should have a 2-0 lead at minimum! They are going to regret not scoring in the first three innings because Dempster will settle down and dominate.

On one hand, it's early in the season.  On the other hand, how the hell can someone's pitch recognition be that bad?  Not a good sign.

When Morse comes back, put him at 1st, then put Ankiel in center after. Leave DeRosa in.

Hopefully we score a run before he comes back. Going to be a challenge.

Not really once we get Morse back, and we add Bryce Harper at some point this season.

Same team as last year, just with better pitching. Guess that means we'll lose a lot more "close games" than getting blown out? At least it keeps some hope alive?
