'360' sucks.

and martis has the best change-up in the organization, no doubt about it and no questions asked.

According to run value per 100 pitches, as calculated by the Baseball Analysts, Martis' change is currently the second most effective change in the MLB.

While Martis needs to cut back on the walks, he isn't even close to Cabrera in that respect.  4.1 BB/9 for Martis vs. 5.9 BB/9 for Cabrera.

his fastball is the 89-91 range and can turn it up to 93 every once in a while.  his breaking stuff is average.  his change-up is awesome.  if he can locate his fastball and work on his offspeed stuff (have i mentioned his change is amazing), he's gonna be a good one for years to come.

Ryan Langerhans just hit a grand slam off of Freddy Garcia to give Syracuse a 7-1 lead. Milledge with 2 more hits and has his BA up over .300 finally.

real good profile of Martis by Harry Pavildis at HBT:

Quote
Martis is essentially a three-pitch pitcher. Or two, or five. He rarely uses his sinker, but his slider may be two or three different pitches:

- Change (CH) usually about 80mph, sinks and tails like his two-seamer, but 10 mph more slowly; three-finger grip and others (?)

- Four-seam fastball (F4) sits at 92 mph, tops out below 95—which isn't overpowering, but it is his bread-and-butter

- Two-seam fastball/sinker (F2) rarely used and only against left-handed hitters

- Slider (SL) ranges from 75-85 mph, probably runs the gamut from slutter to slurve

Batters whiff at Martis' change 47% of the time, which is amazing.  They whiff at his slider 30% of the time which is above league average.

yeah its amazing how bad he is.  he reads fly balls like red sox fans (every flyout from big papi they stand up and think it's gone).

Flores has been doing great lately.  He is one of the most under appreciated catchers in the league, IMO.

haha, Dunn has no speed, but that throw was horrendous!  Finally some sacrifice flies, what this team has been lacking.
