Finally upgraded my laptop to Lion. Enjoying it so far.

Supposedly the iPad 3 is going to launch in March, has Retina display, Quad Core, and LTE. I want one.

I'm known for stirring the Apple pot but seriously why would you want an ipad 3?  What's it going to do that the 2 doesn't, really?

Retina display, quad core, LTE?

I don't have an iPad 2, if you were assuming I did. My wife has one, but that's hers.

I don't see what the point of a retina display on an iPad. The resolution would be humongous. I would think that would be much more expensive to produce too.

What's stupid about that?  I'm much, much more productive as a programmer, analyst, and project manager when I have better tools to work with.  The iPad is a great, great tool if you are the SCRUM master.

I love the new gestures with Lion but now I'm back at work constantly scrolling the wrong way.

You can change it in the Trackpad System Preferences. Pretty much everyone changes it back to how it should be

I think he meant he likes the Lion way and is doing it wrong at work on his PC/older Mac.

I do like it inverted. Of course, I've always played video games (FPS, Skyrim, etc) with inverted controls.

I think he meant he likes the Lion way and is doing it wrong at work on his PC/older Mac.

Well, it's not just the inverted scrolling. There are other gestures that they added that are pretty sweet.

Apple just gets the experience right. I'm sure you'll roll your eyes, but whatever.

inverted scrolling is stupid, as are inverted controls, you leper

that said, apple had the best touchpads by far and two finger scrolling is clearly superior to the old scroll zone method

Does anyone know if there's a global shortcut to open a new finder window?  I know command-N if Finder has focus, but what about if something else has focus.

Not by default. But you can use something like QuicKeys or Quicksilver or many other application launchers to do that.
