In his last start, Redding pitched six solid innings and gave up one run on
two hits against the Mets. He struck out four batters and walked two
others. New York took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth off Redding,
when Brian Schneider took a 2-0 pitch and hit the ball over the right-field
wall for his second home run of the season. But Redding became the winning
pitcher when the Nationals scored four runs in the top of the seventh
 inning.

Nothing is working for Myers, who has now allowed six earned runs in two
straight starts. His velocity was largely there, but location and pitch
selection have betrayed him. He seems like an open book, with hitters
seemingly knowing what's coming, and teeing off. Myers suspected earlier
this season that he was tipping pitches, but pitching coach Rich Dubee had
ruled that out. Myers will be the first Phillie to pitch at Nationals Park. He's
7-7 with a 4.91 ERA in 27 career appearances against Washington.
