I feel bad for Perez and Garcia since they're going to be doing this again next year. And Perez might actually have to do this 3 years.

This is Lombo's second year.

These kind of hazing rituals have always made feel uncomfortable. They're kind of humiliating.

Yeah, yeah, go ahead and call me a buzzkill or something. It's to be expected.

I knew I would get the treatment for saying it. I'm not a big fan of April Fools Day either. Both come across as just, well, trying too hard to be funny. But to each his own, I guess.

I can understand disliking hazing but what bothers you about April fool's day? My memories of it are pretty harmless and occasionally funny.

Cruel, corny, and usually not funny jokes or pranks. It's a day for the unfunny trying to be funny.

I know this makes come across as some kind of a wet blanket. I just hate seeing people trying to be funny and failing.

It's not humiliating if you own it.  Harper gets it and he looks hilarious.

Have you ever joined a fraternity? The hazing is 100 times worse than this.

Yeah, this is relatively harmless hazing.  Its not getting alcohol poisoning!  Its supposed to be used as a team building activity.  Kind of a freshman "we're all in tbis together" thing.

How long does ot last by the way?

Frats are a classic example of just trying too hard. Trying too hard to be funny, trying too hard to be "wild," trying too hard to seem cool...

My friend was born on April Fool's Day. She hates it, cuz every single year as a kid her dad would give her a birthday present, she'd open it, and it would be totally empty, and he'd say "April Fool!!!" and laugh like an idiot.

I almost got blackballed but my big brother said he'd blackball the whole freakin' pledge class.   :)   It's kind of like being drafted ...  or being a teenager.    Glad I did it once but I don't ever wanna do it again.

Why does this remind me of how Borat's sister used to treat her caged, mentally-impaired, brother Bilo - "You'll never get this! You'll never get this!"

I'll skip the rest of the story because I'm not Paul Harvey.

In mine it took three to black ball, although you had to pass the two semesters in a row. Same two guys tried to vote me out both times for being too wild and a goth. Old times.

I was before Goth.  :)    Hell, the real Goths were rampaging at that time.
