Washington Nats Caravan To Visit Hagerstown, MD

WASHINGTON NATIONALS WINTER CARAVAN TO VISIT HAGERSTOWN ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 25TH

The Hagerstown Suns will welcome the Washington Nationals Winter Caravan to Hagerstown, MD on Thursday, January 25, 2007.  The Suns are hosting a luncheon at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.  Among those expected in Hagerstown are new Nationals Manager Manny Acta, Centerfielder Nook Logan and Starting Pitcher Mike O?Connor.  Nationals? radio broadcasters Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler will also be on hand to moderate the event.

Tickets to the luncheon are $12.00 per person.  Please R.S.V.P. by Tuesday, January 23rd by calling the Suns Office at 301-791-6266.  Ticket sales are open from 9 a.m. ? 5 p.m. on Friday January 19th, Monday January 22nd and Tuesday January 23rd.  Availability is limited.  

The Winter Caravan is an opportunity for the Washington Nationals team members to connect with their fans throughout the region.  ?This is a tremendous opportunity for Suns and Nationals fans to meet the new Nationals Manager, Manny Acta, as well as members of the team.  It?s the kind of attention and attraction we hope to continue to provide for fans in Hagerstown?, said Suns General Manager Will Smith.  The Hagerstown Suns will begin play as a Washington Nationals Minor League affiliate on Opening Day, Thursday April 5th.  The Suns will open the 2007 season at home versus the Hickory Crawdads.

Lunch is provided by Dimensions Catering and will include a variety of sandwich wraps, pasta & potato salads, pickles, chips and dessert.  Iced tea, hot tea, coffee and decaf coffee will also be served.
