Lannan should be our #5 starter. He had a sub 4 ERA last year and for the past 2 years. Lots of pitchers don't do well at AAA and yet come back to the majors and do well. No reason not to try him over this darn loser.
I'm beginning to think this way as well. Lannan would likely cherish the opportunity to come up and prove his worth if he's not too pissed off still about the decision to have him start in AAA. I would sure as hell take him over Maya even though Maya's AAA ERA is lower.

I wonder how Detwiler feels always having to come in and clean up the mess left by the guy who took his job.

Count me in among those who are ready to give Lannan a shot.  CMW is done.  I will not attend another game he starts.

This is where we need a guy like Zim to step up with a bomb to give us a jolt and put us back into the game. :?

If he hasn't sawed halfway through the legs on Davey Johnson's office chair yet, he's a better man than I.

Gameday surprise: through pitch 45, opponents hit .217 off David Price. After pitch 45, opponents hit .291.

Is Davey man enough to pull Wang early on Pride night at Nats Park?

Zim's gotta be moved down, this is just unfair to the team.

Lannan.

I don't see how he provides anything better than Detwiler does at this point.  Det still has upside.  Lannan is pretty much who he is.  Both fit fine as a fifth starter.

Wang should not pitch above AA.

Harper walks with one out.  It sure would be nice if Zimm did something.  He did something alright - hit into a double play. :bang:

Apparently Morse asked Davey to move him down, but Davey has too much pride to make any such change :wtf:

They walk Harper because they know Zim will double him up every time. Good management, johnson.

I don't get the obsession with Wang. If you are willing to pay Lannan $5 million to rot at AAA, might as well cut Wang and he's $4 million. I really don't get it.

1,000,000 GIDP for Zimmerman.  He is so predictable now.

Morse asked for Morse to be moved down, or for Zim to be moved down?
