I flipped to the channel for a sec and saw some guy without a helmet for a few mins.  Don't know if he lost it or what, but it didn't look like he or the refs were concerned about it.

Yeah, he had just lost it temporarily. They don't stop play when that happens.

I think everyone wears helmets now. I remember in the 70s they didn't, but I'll bet they are required now.

They are required but one of the Rangers lost his temporarily. They can't worry about their helmets during game action. Only Lastings Milledge worries about that.  :?

The Caps escaped that barrage. The Rangers looked sharper plus the Caps just don't look sharp yet.

I'm done watching the Nats for awhile, it is just isn't worth the time.  At least listening to the minor league games is entertaining.

Is it me or does it seem like there were 15 Rangers on the ice versus 5 Caps players?!!  They've been playing defense the entire 2nd period!

yeah that's how it looked. Rangers have completely dominated since the start of the game. we wouldn't know whether Lundqvist is on or not because the Caps haven't even got 15 shots on goal yet.

2 awful periods by us. must come out balls to the wall in the third

Exactly and they had tons of chances to clear but they struggled to do so over and over again. They just look a little tight. Maybe the enormity of this game has them hesitant to make a mistake but that very thing has caused scoring chances for NY. Maybe now that they've taken the best form the Rangers and are still in the game they'll come out and play well in the 3rd.

Hopefully Bruce is letting them know that it's "win or go home" day today. They HAVE to bring their A-game in the 3rd.

Too bad Chase Utley's already done "his thing" to John Lannan, twice!

Dunn homers.
 :worship: :worship:
Think of all the teams that passed up on him, thinking he'd be hitting homers but striking out a lot, with a .222 BA.  They were wrong!! He's been well worth the money we're paying him.

Undoubtedly if it had been Zimmerman or Flores hitting that bomb you'd probably have a different take on it.  :?

Dunn's hitting great but I don't even know why we got him because it makes no difference in the standings since the rest of the team is so crappy. I'd trade him for a great package right now while he is at peak value.

You wanna see more of it?  Rent "Before the Devil Knows Your Dead" - she's like doing sexual gymnastics in that flick.

Bob and Rob mention Ron Villone and all of those other bums in AAA yet not Tyler Clippard who is dominating. :?
