Nationals @ Phillies, Game 2

Washington Nationals (13-34)

P Shairon Martis (5-0) 4.86 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 53.2 IP, 52 H, 5 HR, 21 BB, 25 SO, .255 BAA

Philadelphia Phillies (26-20)

P Cole Hamels (2-2) 4.68 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 42.1 IP, 50 H, 9 HR, 9 BB, 43 SO, .299 BAA

I stood in the expensive seats behind home plate here in March, when American University held a pre-game party in their Club, before playing Villanova in the NCAA Men's basketball tournament across the parking lot.  Maybe that will bring us luck... I marked our territory...

I don't normally set up Gameday Threads because I have a [] losing record[/] in prior seasons.
But maybe having been in this ball park stadium, in their most expensive seats and Club, will jinx the Phillies.  The Nationals' club behind the President Seats is nicer.

Since the Natinals have been playing like cartoon characters, may his spirit help us prevail.

I figured that Guzman would get a night off, he has really lost his mojo.

Wow, Kearns in center, too.

Thank god. Guz needed a day off weeks ago.

I'm glad Algo got the call. Hope he's here to stay.

I hope he plays well enough to justify staying.  He was very good last year, and in the spring, and then stunk it up when the regular season started.  Hope he's past it, cause he showed real nice flashes of talent.

I may go to the Sens-Baysox game tomorrow.  I think Arnesen is on the bump too.

P.S. Austin Kearns sucks.

I like it.  No more defensive liabilities in center like Millie, Dukes, and Harris.
