Who wants to bet that Riggleman will soon "fix" the line-up by taking Werth out of the two spot?

Another awesome Opening Day for the Nationals.  Most pathetic sports club in the HISTORY of D.C.  They'll be gone in 5 years so I'm not worried.

I can see that happening.

Positive is a bit strong considering this offensive performance.

They have a 30 year lease. There is ZERO chance of the team moving in the foreseeable future.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.  The 1st inning was enough for.  Runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs and our 4/5 hitters coming up......pop up, weak groundout.  I've seen this movie before.

Game over.  We lose.

The Nationals are now on a pace to:
win 0 and lose 162 games,
scoring zero runs all season.

Not a horrible game. Great pitching by Lowe and the Braves bullpen.

I gave it everything I had.  I made some adjustments I was confident in and they just made more plays today than we did.  Tip your cap and move on to the next one.  Can't win them all.  I'm still confident in my abilities, I'll shake this one off and be good to go.  It's good to have the season underway, there's a lot of baseball yet to watch, not gonna jump off any bridges after this one.

The starter was fine, only 2 runs given up, good job DPM.  Where was the offense (rest of the posters) :P

The offense is going to be a problem all year. I don't know why people thought that Werth was going to fix the offense by himself.

We played well defensively and pitched a gem...offense was painfully bad...no need to worry about anything ladies and gents.

I don't think anyone thought/thinks that. I think the offense will be fine, but I hate that we don't have a guy who can get into the pitcher's head when on base.

Desmond is going to have to get a lot better at leading off, FAST!

edit: Of course, Prado was 0-4 for the Braves too, leading off.

The Nats crowd looks bigger than the Yankees.
