That answers why it sounds like an exorcism is going on with the guys across the alley.

Didn't follow much in the off season but I noticed Bale is now with Tottenham.     I also see Van Persie moved and Dempsey's in some kind of limbo.

That's a bit of a sore point right now.  To Barcelona or Inter Milan or the likes, fine, but his going to Man U is like being kicked in the nuts.

Van Persie moved

I bet it is.    Man U seems to be on everyone's hit list  ...  especially if you're an Arsenal fan.    I don't follow the Premier League (nor the details of any sport LOL) to know how that transfer thing works.   Is it like a trade or free agency?

Manchester City about to kick off.

I'm working tonight so I'll be home for tomorrow's slate of games.   Life is good  ...   I'll also be available for the games all winter 'cause I'm being laid off.   :)

That sucks, sorry to hear that.  Unless it's not a bad thing, in which case, congratulations!

Too bad DirecTV crapped out during a very interesting Southampton/City game.

Mancini needs to stick to the 3-5-2.  Especially when Dzeko is in. This has been a good game.

City came back and are up 3-2.    Southampton could easily have been up 3-2.

As for being laid off, we'll see.   :)    I'm not concerned because I've been through a lot of crap in my 60+ years.   Only thing concerns me is health care for my family.

Well, that's certainly a healthy outlook.

These early EPL games are kind of funny in a way...lots of end-to-end volleys.

Certainly better than I expected going in.

I'm not sure it's "healthy".   :)    Like Lincoln said, "It hurts too much to laugh and I'm too old to cry."

I'll take the win. Hopefully Aguero isn't out too long.

Does he have a history of knee problems?    Didn't look like that serious of a take down to me.    It was clean though.

No injury history that I know of. Definitely a clean tackle. I doubt it's an ACL injury, but it still could be something that keeps him out a couple of weeks.

what's soccer!  I only know one sport until after the World Series.  The rest is just peripheral vision.  I know it's out there but I don't pay that much attention to it!

Soccer is what Ian Desmond plays with grounders more often than Danny Espinosa.

everton was very good in the second half last year after a bad first half. they finished 7th or 8th. they could make some noise. maybe they come out of nowhere and pick up dempsey and then get their usual donovan second half loan. it could be like team usa
