Nice.  He was in the AFL, right?  how'd he do?  have you tracked him before this year?  did you see him?

Clippard would have to be injured to go on the DL.

He struggled in the AFL. Here's an article from Kerr: http://www.masnsports.com/byron_kerr/2011/11/lehman-believes-adjustment-helping-delivery.html

Quote
Lehman has been throwing his two-seam fastball from 89 to 92 mph, and has hit 93 and 94 mph. He also is throwing his changeup and has been working on his slider.

He is a local product from GWU, a 13th round pick in '09. He was used as a starter in '10 at Potomac and compiled a 4.84 ERA but 88 Ks in 87.1 IP. In 2011 they converted him to a reliever and he pitched 49.2 IP between A+ and AA and had a 3.08 ERA, .180 BA Against, and a nasty 45 K to 4 BB ratio.

The Chiefs are opening up a can on Charlotte (and it's a Lannan start).  11-1 in the 3rd inning.

What exactly is the Nats' plans for Karns?

3 IP 0 H 1 R 0 ER 2 BB 8 K tonight in relief.

He's put up a 1.59 ERA and 27 K/11 BB in 17 IP. He has 3 or 4 IP in every outing, none starts. Are they stretching him out to be a starter or maybe they are just having him work on his stuff and then stick him in the back end of a bullpen as a closer or setup man?

Headed up to Nats Park with Rick Hague and David Freitas later. You'll see them on MASN during the pre-game show. #nationals

Karns 6 more Ks in 3 IP tonight.

33 Ks in 20 IP on the season with a 1.35 ERA. Would like to see him bumped to Potomac

I'm not sure this is the right thread but a casual glance at our two top clubs stats shows that only Rosenbaum and Kobernus are raking. I am looking for potential Sept call ups for players who have not been to the show previously.Smithian in another thread said our top prospects are in low ball and that was also my feeling  and I agree. The Gio trade seemed to strip us of our top prospects that were almost MLB ready except for Cole.

In the first game of yesterday's DH: Zach Duke - 7IP, CG for the Chiefs (3h, 2r, 2er, 1bb, 5K).  Xavier Paul goes 2-5 with a HR as DH.
