I can't wait till he's 20.

It doesn't take much to sour you on a player does it?

I love Bryce Harper. I hate the focus that is placed on him by Nats "fans".

Who cares?  Super-hyped up-and-coming stars are going to draw that kind of attention.  That's sports.  Don't be a fan policeman, you already have BiL's avatar ;)

We are all deputies of the Nats Fan Police. Some of us are just in denial. :mg:

Zim totally ruined the chest bump by hugging Harp in mid-air. What a pansy. Harper looked like he wanted no part of the hug.

Why? Whatever draws fans to the game is good. Even stupid racing presidents.

The national-level Harper love will soon reach Lebron James levels.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.  I think most people (or at least the Lebron haters) had no issues with Lebron until his 'the Decision' TV show/program/mockery.

the funny part is Gio and Strass are much bigger reasons for the turn around.

LeChoke created his own problems. Harper has been a saint on the field/off the field so far.

Linty doesn't like more fans. More fans=More money to the Lerner family fat pockets

If Harp performs on the field, I can see big time media hysteria around him. And I have no problems with that. The more attention the Nats get, the better, IMO.

The kid has been a model citizen since he's been on the squad. I am going to judge him on his behavior on this team at this time, not what he might have done in the past.

The Nats Fan Police would tell you that you want the Lerners to make more money so they can spend it on the team. OK, stop laughing, you LACers.

Agreed. But the decision confirmed it for some and turned others who were fans before.

It's kind of sad but he will never live down that debacle. Not just the rest of his career. The rest of his life.

It's going to suck when all those fairweather DC fans jump on the Nats bandwagon. They weren't there to witness the bad days like we did. As the wise Kobe Bryant would say, "nag, you wasn't with me rooting for 103 losses"

It's funny how 'taking my talents to South Beach' has become part of the vernacular.

He was always an azz (especially for DC fans) but it was the very public quitting on the Cavs in the playoffs and then basically taking a dump on Cleveland with 'the decision' that turned off a lot of fans.

I don't think that's Bryce Harper.  And I hope it's not Bryce Harper.  Even if he leaves for NYC, I think he'd go about it differently.

Bryce Harper is nothing like LeBron James. The only similarities are that they were both hyped like crazy as teenagers, but they end there.

Which is great.
