The game is over because it's over. How many times do you want to see the same thing happen over and over before you believe it?

You wouldn't keep watching the game unless you had a little hope/belief left.

I have no hope. Zero. Our offense is the worst in Major League History. Hill would have had to pitch a shut-out for us to win today. Even THAT may not have been enough still because we would have lost in extra innings.

Oh yeah, Hill is going to pitch 6 scoreless innings.

0-2 count and he can't even put away the stupid catcher.   >:(

Oh man, that's HILARIOUS! Sutton really does call Snyder "Schneider."

I'm not saying it's not over, I'm just saying that it's stupid to trade a pitcher who's effective in most of his starts just because the offence can't overcome a 3 run deficit.

you gotta remember, sportsfan operates with a "you are only as good as the last pitch thrown" mentality.

Well, I certainly have no hope, which is why I'm watching Tim Lincecum pitch against the Padres at AT&T Park.  This is certainly one hell of a lot more interesting than watching our AAA team.

Lincecum's a fun pitcher to watch. I hope you're not watching for the Giants' offense.

god, since when did Hill become such a liability defensively? He used to be solid with the glove.

Nice play Guzman.

We all expected results like this did we not? Who here thought we were going to win more than one game against Owings, Haren and Webb?

It's time to "Patterson" Hill...

Careful how you say that. I called for this about a month ago and everyone thought I was crazy. You don't want to be with the crazies do you?

Might as well be 20-0. Hill is garbage. I'd PH for him right here. If we come back and win this game I'll leave this forum for a week.

I've been a Hill supporter in the past but he's getting on my last nerve.  It's only a matter of time before he goes back to his home on the DL.

Once again, the reason you think a 4 run deficit is the same a 20 run deficit does not fall on the pitcher..

When was the last time our starter had an outing this bad? The first incarnation of Bergmann perhaps?

2 IP 4 ER sucks anyway you slice it.  He'll have to pitch 6 consecutive scoreless innings to match Bergmann's effort from last night.

What? Back in 2005? He has more incarnations than a shape shifting chameleon.

Who would have ever thought that Shawn Hill would have the highest ERA out of all our starters.  :bang:

Line-drive caught by Hudson. Sigh.  Is our luck ever going to change for the good? It's really depressing.

I think just about every outing of Patterson's last season was worse than this.
