Tower Heist was really good

No one has good ideas anymore, except for a few. It seems like its all sequels, remakes, or horrible original ideas.

I mean there are those original ideas that are really good still but compared to the horrible ones it just doesn't seem real.

I had completely given up on film until I saw "Biutiful" and "Drive" this year.  Plenty of great ideas/stories but it gets overshadowed by the big studio garbage that clogs the cinemas.

Drive was awful. What an overrated piece of trash. Waste of good talent

I'm assuming the movie will win an Oscar then?

I can't believe Universal is remaking Scarface. At least they have a good writer working on it.

saw "our idiot brother" ... solid cast, different kind of movie than i was expecting.  had some funny lines in it, pretty slow.  but wasn't terrible, imo.

Saw "Crazy, Stupid, Love" with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling on a flight last night, very good movie.  Similar to 40 year old virgin in that Carell plays a guy who's clueless with women and Gosling tries to teach him what to do.  There's also the benefit of Marisa Tomei in a small role as a psychotic school teacher.

Definitely a good "date night" movie.

Saw "Our Idiot Brother" with Paul Rudd on the flight out.  Meh.  Not a complete waste of 90 minutes, but it's a movie you kind of forget the minute it's over.

I like the movie Flight of the Phoenix but I reaaaaaaaaly despise Giovanni Ribsi's character in it. I just want to repeatedly punch that egotistical S.O.B.

Three Musketeers with Sutherland, Sheen, and Platt is an awesome movie. It's one of those films I can watch if its on any channel. I'm kind of upset they're remaking it. The remake seems like such an unreal adventure while this film seems at least realistic in a sense.

I liked the movie, but Albert Brooks was absolutely terrible in it. IMO, he kept it from being a classic.

I didn't mind Brooks, I would have preferred to have seen someone like Mickey Rourke or Gary Oldman but given that the character's race was an integral part of the plot neither of those two would have been believable as Jews.

This will probably be lame, but it looks like it's got some potential.

Will Smith was perfect in "Six Degrees of Separation", everything else of his is garbage.
