Globalisation isn't all bad when it comes to beer...the availability of stuff like Peroni and Stella is a 1000 times better than it was before South African Breweries bought Miller. The flip side is that a lot of it is just plain fake (Leffe "abbey ale" is now brewed in a huge plant in Brussels), but overall, I think the fact that one can buy a Stella at a ballgame almost anywhere in the country represents a net benefit.
