Nationals vs Phillies, Game 3
« Topic Start: May 16, 2009, 04:55:51 PM »
I'm putting my splendiferous 1-0 record on the line with everyone's favorite train wreck on the mound.  If the Nats win, sportsfan has to take Minty's avatar, and Minty has to find a new one.

Andrew Carpenter, RHP (0-0, -.--)
Phillies (18-16)

@

Daniel Cabrera, RHP (0-4, 4.98)
Nationals (11-23)

I'd be okay with a 15-13 win.  8 ER in 4.2 for crab, and take your pick who gets the rest.

/tongueincheek

But really, I'm almost beyond caring.  At least Olsen is hurt.  What's the excuse for Cabrera going to be?

I'll break even with you though hammonds, I won't be crying if Cabrera gets shelled.  I don't want the team to lose but we all know that any glimmer of hope will just give the FO an excuse to keep trotting him out there every fifth day, and at this point nobody wants that except for the bean counters.

at this point i don't even care any more.  today i feel like the way the team's pitching has been the last 15 innings.

As long as it doesn't exceed the pounding the Yankees took earlier this year, I'm willing to sacrifice a game to rid ourselves of Cabrera for the greater good.

and no i am not being sarcastic. it would be jokes to have an entire game thread devoted to rooting against the nats. maybe we could print it and send it to stan and rizzo.

kasten likes phillies fans, he has invited them into our own home with welcome arms.

the lerners will want to keep cabrera around just to spite us fans.

I cannot do that but I am hoping it is Cabrera's last game in our uniform. Walk the plank Cabrera!

NO WAY.

Sportsfan has to hire NotLD to make an identical avatar with Daniel Cabrera.

I'd say get the pen ready... but that wouldn't be a much better alternative.
