He also allowed a HR in that outing. That counts as a peripheral. I'm interested to see if Marquis keeps this up. I'm not worried about his K's. He only allowed 1 BB in the past 2 outings (12 innings). If he lowers his walks, he will have a lot of success just like Lannan has had success his return by lowering his walk rate.
Lannan's had a lot of success because he raised his K/9
and lowered his BB/9. If Marquis does one but not the other he'll merely return to his career average, which is not very good. Plus two games is waaaaay too small a sample size for BB/9.
