This guy needs to be in Potomac...

Norris to Potomac, Rooney to Harrisburg. Dump/demote any of Solano, Molina or Herrera...

This is what's "blocking" Norris and Rooney: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=C&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=434938

A 20 year old hitting lights out blocked by a 28 year old hitting .127.  Is anyone paying attention?  Norris is young, and very well may need some more development, but he has clearly developed well beyond LoA.

He is not really being blocked by Herrera.

Solano (24 in August) is the primary starter in Syracuse (of late he is getting the majority of the starts)
Montz (25 yesterday) is the primary starter in Harrisburg (and still on 40-man)
Rooney (23) is the primary starter in Potomac
Norris (20) is the primary starter in Hagerstown

Norris would take playing time away from Rooney unless you bump him to Harrisburg, then Rooney would be taking playing time away from Montz unless you bump him to Syracuse, then he would be taking playing time away from Solano. All four are still viable catcher options with Solano, Montz and Rooney as backups and Norris as a potential starter (if he improves defensively behind the plate).

It's not Herrera blocking things

The blocking term was a bit facetious -- but it's not like Montz is exactly lighting it up either: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=C&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=452215

Just get rid of Ivany and let Norris/Rooney split Catcher/DH duties at Potomac.

or dump Montz and move Rooney up to AA.
