Just came back, what a game! Really liked going to a different park for once, and sticking it to the Birds made the trip all the better. What an outing by Edwin, he sure made the game move fast.

I used to think Storen was the future but Clipp has been unreal. He's gotta be the closer

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Clip just gets the job done quickly and efficiently and seems to thrive under pressure. He definitely deserves to be a closer, either for us or some other team.

So is Laddyburger on vacation or did he finally get fired? I'm hoping for the latter.

Unless he did something to get in trouble, I don't see that type of move being made in season.

Ah well that sucks for him. Don't like him as a reporter but you hate to see that.

I can't stand Ladson, despise him actually. He was a POS when Dunn was here, and seems argumentative and not the nicest Guy. Still, sad to read that and wish him all the best. Kidney trouble is a horrible thing to go through, hope he gets better soon.

That doesn't sound fun.

Now on to why I came to the thread. Just got home, had awesome seats behind homeplate. Great game, Jackson had a perfect game for a while, no hitter for longer. Zimmerman shouldnt have been charged with an error, that better be changed. Awesome game, nice to go to a different park once in a while.

Our offense still sucks, although Morse looks like he might be snapping out of it and LaRoche hit a beauty. Beautiful night, Nats win, what's not to love?

What he said!  Great night.   I have a Curly W magnet on the back of my car.  Went back to the parking garage and found it upside down!  LOL!

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 41st win, each season:

2005 - 20th June (70th match of season)
2012 - 23rd June (69th match)
2011 - 1st July (82nd match)
2010 - 21st July (95th match)
2006 - 21st July (97th match)
2007 - 21st July (97th match)
2008 - 3rd August (111th match)
2009 - 14th August (116th match)

---

THIS DAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: Thursday 23rd June 2005 was a travel day - the Anaheim/Texas/Pittsburgh away trip now completed (5-4), heading home to open a six-match homestand against the Blue Jays and Pirates...record 42-30.

---

Attendance 46,298...the Saturday and Friday Nats visits are the third and fourth (respectively) highest-drawing home fixtures at Preparation H Park at Camden Yards this season (topped only by the home opener and the Phillies Saturday visit). On the radio last night Slowes was saying a sell-out is expected Sunday as well.

The more people there to see them lose, the better!
