O's Dylan Bundy
« Topic Start: April 23, 2012, 11:09:47 AM »
Dylan Bundy is putting up stellar numbers in A, 15Ks in 9IP. 1BB, no hits allowed.

Keith Law says the O's are mismanaging him and should have had him starting at AA while stretching him out.  MASN's O's analyst responds:

I don't see a problem with the O's plan.

Rick Peterson is Baltimore's minor league pitching coordinator. I'd trust his judgement over Keith Law's

Pirates are handling James Tallion the same way.  I think its a very big risk to be experimenting with these super prospects.  Why dont they try this with mid level prospects first, see if it works, then use it on the big guys.

i was really hoping to get bundy or bauer in the draft  but i expected to get starling.  rendon's injury pissed me off and i really wish we had bundy.

Another 4 perfect innings for Bundy.  0 hits and 21 Ks through 13 innings for him so far.  Not sure what the O's plan is for him, but they are going to have to let him go past 4 innings eventually and low A is no challenge for him.

Totally missed that one.  It will be interesting to see how the O's approach works out.  Regardless, Bundy is so far ahead of the talent level at low A it isn't even funny.

he's going to be good, but not better than Strasburg.

Would have rather had him than Meyer

Yes, most people would like a Top 10 draft pick over a Top 30 draft pick.

Orioles mismanage a pitching prospect? That never happens
