DeRosa's tone totally changed when they asked him about Strasburg.

I've got Vasgersian and Smoltz.  It's a good broadcast team and I like Vasgersian better than I like Carp (especially on a night like tonight when we're playing Carp's team) but as much as I like Smoltz's analysis, I miss F.P.  He's awesome.

Did he announce for the cardinals or does he just love the cardinals?

He announced for them for many years early in his career.  A lot of us think he's still deep down a Cardinals fan.

Both, I think.  I know his first job was as an usher at Cardinals games and he would call the game from the stands.

After he was chatting about the cards on MASN I would suppose so.

He is a Cardinals fan.  He grew up going to Cardinals games and often tells stories of sneaking into the old ballpark.

I would love to see the Nats extend EJax. He is an exceptional #4 or 5 pitcher.

+1

And I was one who was saying that signing him was a huge mistake.  I was wrong...

Yeah that sucks. My grandparents got Sky boxes for Monday's game so I'll be hitching a ride to the game on Monday and sit in the 400/300s. Never get to get driven to games (always take the metro) so it will be nice and sanitary :)

And thankfully there the internet means you can watch the highlights ;)

OK that's nice. If I ever got a job for another team in the league (not really looking for a job in the majors so I highly doubt it) I would be torn.

How much is a Hawpa game-used?  I want to buy low and this replica is bothering me with its craptiness.

I've wondered that too.  If I ever got a job working for a MLB team how would that impact my fandom of the Nats?  I'd imagine a paycheck would impact my views...

That's probably true, but I doubt I'd pursue a gig with the Phillies or a couple of other teams.
