I don't know if the Skins need a CB, but if they do, they should trade up right now to get Alfonzo Dennard.

It's one of our needs but a minimal one at that. I'd rather get a S or another OL or some crap like that.

DB is a more crucial need.

Well I mean yeah but I think our needs are something like S > OL > ILB > CB

I wasn't really saying minimal like we're fine with what we have.

I just hope we don't draft Robert Blanton out of ND. He has great hands, but that's about it.

BTW, I don't believe Dennard will make it to our next selection.

When did the team get built? I guessed I missed the playoff runs

How quickly we forget playoff losses to the Seahawks

Redskins swap their second 4th rounder with Pittsburgh and acquire an extra 6th round selection. Pittsburgh drafts a NT from Washington, Alameda Ta'amu, 6'2", 345, with 35 reps on the bench press.

He'll probably stick around this season and John Beck will be the one gone.

I was thinking MDS for "smooth transition" reasons.

Dilfer says cousins could develop to be good enough to trade for a high pick in 1-2 years.

They said Robinson doesn't shed blocks. I'm guessing he's more of a ST guy.

Probably. That should give him time to develop.

Some people like him as you do. I've been in the opposite camp. I never liked his decision making. Hopefully this picks ends up netting something of use in the future and it's not just a wasted pick made so that Jr can have some fresh meat to oggle in the showers.

5th round pick is a G from Iowa, Adam Gettis, 6'2" and change, 293 lbs. Had the best 40 yd at the combine and the worst broad jump. Did not lift.

I hear he's a good fit in a zone block scheme and was overshadowed by Reiff but was a good player in his own right.

I'm confused as well by the Cousins pick. On one hand, it's not a bad pick because he'll make a solid back up, but at the same time, Shuler vs Gus comes to mind. The difference however is, mindfact alert, Shuler had no heart where as Griffin comes off as a guy that works his ass off and wants to be a winner. Defined roles might help. Wished we could have gotten Sanders, the OT from FSU. He'd have been a good fit at RT. I was hoping we'd get Gettis as well to be honest.

If Burfict falls to us in the 6th, do we do it? Any other players anyone would like to see us draft?

He slipped pretty far, so not a huge risk - the upside is either a Kolb type trade or plan b if Griffen busts- the downside is only a 4th rounder wasted

Well, it could be worse if a full blown qb controversy erupts. I hope the team handles it the right way, but over the past 20 years it's become difficult to trust that to happen. Looks like it will end up RGIII, Rexy and then Cousins. Having a quality back up is a good thing though and I think Cousins can definitely develop into that if not a good starter.
