awful 1-2 pitch. Now Hanley leads off next inning instead of the pitcher. That's huge.

I was wrong about Bernadina.  8 AB's is enough
send him back!

Miami is a major port city. If he doesn't get a hit tonight,
deport Bernadina to the Netherlands.

Good point by Sutton:  "If you allow a player to tell you when they are ready to come back from a rehab assignment, why then do you not allow a pitcher to tell you when he is done?" [instead of instituting a pitch limit]

God I really hate Bob Carpenter.

"Boy you would just love to see [Dukes] get a hold of one, just to see how far he gets one to go"
...he says that about all of our players and none of them show power (except of course Dukes right there).

He would be a good fantasy baseball announcer, at best.

Hell yeah Dukes.  We are going to win this game.  We'll be in there bullpen by next inning, and their pen is awful.

This is perhaps the worst possible time for Flores to slump.  Manny Acta has shown that he doesn't need reason to make stupid decisions, but a slump makes it even more likely that we'll soon see Lo Duca back at the #2 spot.

Need 2 more innings out of Redding, then go to Joel in the 7th, Saul in the 8th, and Rauch to close it.

Flores shouldn't be batting clean-up regardless. Too much pressure for a 23-year old basically rookie catcher.

No reason to worry too much though. You just couldn't expect Flores to keep producing at the ridiculous level that he was for such a long time.

there we go Meat Hook and Dukes, we needed that. Lets get a Redding to put out the top of the order (tough).

I like to see Flores back up in the order, he seemed better around the 6-7 spot.

Woeful. An 0-2 pitch should not be hittable.
