Rolling ankles doesn't affect straight line speed very much. Its side to side (rounding the bases) where he would have issues.

Your knowledge of his ankle injuries is comical. He has no issues "rounding the bases". And then you say rolling ankles doesn't affect straight line speed but yet you say he cannot play the outfield where straight line speed is imperative and no side to side movement occurs.
