Guillen knocks one in on the 7th or 8th pitch, and Nick grounds on the second??  The whole world's turned upside down

Man, if we can steal this game away...that would be sweet.  I'd written this one off as a loss.  Just so as not to tempt the Baseball Gods, I will continue to do so.

C'mon Hector!  Give us another good inning!

The "huge lumps in my legs" Subway commercial reminded me of one of my old professors, who was enormously fat and had a big bulge in his left pants leg.  It was a colostomy bag.

I always kind of retch when I hear that commercial.  (the lumps were pockets full of change, by the way)

You know I'm really impressed with Guzman lately, you know he's scored two of our runs tonite!! I really hope he can keep it up, that along with our pitching staff and if Guillen, Vidro, Schneider and Johnson could just improve thier hitting just a little not even to their capable levels, we should be fine!

We're playing the Padres, right?  Charlie just said, "Just the third hit of the game for the Astros."

I remember when Dave Shea said that the Nats played great basketball after a win once.  I think it was in early June.

AND HECTOR IS IN LINE FOR WIN IF WE CAN HOLD ON!

Nice job when we needed you the most.  What a great career season for Carrasco.

Yeah the Padres original logos featured a Monk swinging a bat, complete with the bald round haircut and brown cloaks and wearing sandals.

And GUUUUZZZ is a daunting enough batter to scare the Padres into making a pitching change.

Oh well.  Even Guzman can't hit 'em all.

Carrasco batting!  To pitch in the whatever-inning-is-next-th.
