GUUUZ has somehow managed to alter his molecular structure tonight: balls in play are having the incredible knack of dodging out of the way of the zippy shortstop.  A throwing error gets him to first, a throwing error gets him to second, a tagging error gets him to third, and BADA-BING: a run scored.

GOOOOOOOOOOO HECTOR!

(now I'm gonna step outside a bit to socialize with my dorm-mates.)

Hope they are females.

Any of such aforesaid activities must be duly documented in play-by-play form here on the game thread.

I'm taking the old semester off to take it easy for a little while... which is a lot less cool than you think because all of your friends are away at school and you've got jack crap to do.  I'm taking some courses from NOVA to stay sharp and keep occupied but I'm thinking that I really didn't plan this through quite well enough.  NOVA is basically high school all over again; I'm very underwhelmed.  Oh well... builds character and work ethic, and only a few more months until going back to school.

But on the bright side, I can follow the Nationals.  My college is in southern VA which I believe is in the Nats' territory (so no MLB-TV) but beyond radio or WB50, so it's just no man's land as far as baseball coverage goes.  I do get Comcast SportsNet so I'm rooting for them (as if Angelos weren't enough).

Depends on where in Virginia you are...I'm in Woodbridge and I'm not blacked-out.

Farmville.  I've heard of blackouts in Richmond and it's only about an hour SW of that city.  I can follow this season till the end because I'm still here, but I hope they get the TV rights done with by next August (which, going from the pace of things, looks doubtful).

(well, by next April, rather.  Finals are first week of May... forgot there's a beginning of the season as well as an end...  )

I don't know if they screwed-up or what...but I haven't been blacked-out all season.  I bought the season package though...some have suggested that they are allowing season package customers to view because before the blackouts they advertised that you would get to see the whole season.  I dunno....but I'm not complaining.   :)

well he just gave up his second hit of the game...but it's 4th inning.  He looks pretty damn good if you ask me.  I mean...the guy's not supposed to be starting to begin with.

If we can get 5 innings out of Carrasco, I'd sit him down, be thrilled and go to the bullpen.

...of course, in this case, we started with the bullpen.

I say let him go as long as he can, I dont think FR is gonna pitch him out of the bullpen anymore

Charlie was more excited about a fan's amazing one-handed catch of a foul ball than about anything in at least a couple of innings, haha...

And right when I say it, base hit and a score.  Another run for Guzman!   RBI for Guillen -- maybe he's next?

Good call, Chief. :)
